What we do about Safeguarding
All of us at Amersham School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Every member of staff receives Safeguarding and Prevent training upon joining the school and completes regular annual update training sessions, as well as shorter monthly training activities, to not only comply with Government requirements but to ensure that our staff are aware of local and national priorities.
If a member of staff has any concerns about the safety of any of our students, they log their concerns on CPOMS, which submits immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead and the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads.
Our school network is protected with a firewall, filtering and monitoring systems designed for school environments. These are checked and updated regularly to ensure that we are best protecting our students whilst in school and using school resources.
All our information about safeguarding and child protection is held securely.
