Partner Primary Schools
Our Pastoral Structure
Students are assigned to a Tutor Group when they enter Year 7 who they stay with throughout their time at Amersham.
Each form group has a Form Tutor who will ensure all academic and personal needs are met and be the point of contact should you have any questions regarding your child’s learning.
Form Tutors work alongside with the Director of Learning to ensure high standards of academic achievement and discipline and to monitor personal and social progress. They offer personal guidance and counselling in addition to our Student Support Managers and Student Support Counsellor.
Primary Partner Schools
We understand that moving from primary to secondary school can be a daunting as well as an exciting time and endevaour to make the transition as smooth as possible for students and their families.
We provide a number of transition events during the summer term to allow pupils to meet their new classmates, Form Tutor and familiarise themselves with their new surroundings.
We also run a successful Peer Mentoring Programme for Year 7, providing students with the opportunity to share any thoughts or concerns they may have and enabling them to receive advice and guidance from older students.
Leadership is a core part of our ethos and our mentoring opportunities provide students with the skills they need to become confident, successful citizens.
