Parent information and workshops

Each year, we work with local organisations and agencies to provide opportunities for parental information sessions and workshops.

Evidence demonstrates that children's safety and wellbeing are best supported when parents and schools work together with common approaches. This helps ensure that children receive consistent messaging and support from the most appropriate people where necessary.

Our approaches to safeguarding and wellbeing in school are informed by local and national guidance and we take the advice of highly qualified professionals to help us ensure our school is a safe place for children.

Being a parent of a teenager can be a challenge and it can be difficult to keep up with the latest trends and threats. We want to support you by giving you the opportunities to access this advice from professionals.

Here are a list of the opportunities available for parents during this academic year. This will be updated throughout the year as information changes.

Please contact the main school office who will pass the information on to the appropriate member of the safeguarding team.

Advice Leaflets

Amersham School is a member of The National College which provides training and information for educators and parents. As a parent of a child in our school, you will have the opportunity to sign up to The National College and access webinars, information leaflets and much more.

Each week, The National College publish advice leaflets on areas of concern for educators and parents. These would be excellent starting points for discussions with your child knowing you will be armed with professional information and guidance.
